There was plenty of glitz and glam at this year’s Ambiente. For Frankfurt fashion bloggers Helena and Laura the fair offered a wealth of exciting new ideas for jewellery from around the world – as well as lots of tempting sweet treats. Sequins and diamanté added a special sparkle to their visit, which they rounded off with gourmet buttery caramel popcorn. With high expectations – but not high heels – the two young bloggers went hunting for truffles.
Hi! Helena and I have been blogging for almost 5 years on our fashion blog “hypnotized”. We recently took a tour of Ambiente to check out the latest trends and product ideas. First, though, there was the business of choosing the right outfit to wear for the event. Eventually we both decided on comfortable but chic outfits that had a special something about them. As we were going to have a long – and enjoyable – day ahead of us with lots of new experiences, flats won out over heels.
When we arrived at the exhibition centre, we were astounded by the huge dimensions of Ambiente, with 4,700 exhibitors showcasing their products in the Dining, Giving and Living sections. As the Easter holidays weren’t too far away and we had a number of birthdays coming up, we were on the lookout for cool gift ideas in the Giving area at Ambiente.
You can’t go wrong with jewellery. This classic gift is a proven winner and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the lips of any woman. A beautiful necklace or classy bracelet makes the ideal birthday present. At Ambiente we identified two main jewellery trends that could not have been more different. On the one hand, very fine, filigree jewellery is enjoying increasing popularity. The special attraction of these understated pieces lies in the detail. On the other hand, statement jewellery is still very much in fashion, particularly in boho-chic style.
From statement necklaces to statement earrings – this type of jewellery is designed to turn heads and transform a plain outfit into a real eyecatcher. We also discovered some cool bags for accessorising with a sparkle. Sequins are totally on-trend and make any bag an “It” piece.
Foodies, too, are well catered for at Ambiente. We discovered some great – and tasty – new products that are ideal as presents or as little gifts to bring to parties. And what about making your own chocolate? With vegan cocoa from chocQlate you can easily make chocolate at home and refine it with your favourite ingredients. Perfect for all do-it-yourself fans! They’re just the thing for taking as a small gift to the next party!
